  • Great Day!

This was our 3rd day of the new school year. We went to music with Mrs. Oats today and had a wonderful time. Our music days are Wednesday and Thursday. We had a great time in PE today. Coach Stansell even gave our class a certificate for good behavior. Mrs. Stockton was so proud of us. She let us color in two numbers on our behavior bingo chart. Terrance, Aubrey, Tanner, Elena, Austin, and BriAnna got to share their “Me” bags with the class. We are really having fun getting to know more about each other. The rest of us will be sharing our “Me” bags on Thursday and Friday. Second grade is GREAT!

  • All About Mrs. S. Stockton

Hello, my name is Sandra Stockton. I grew up in Bogata and graduated from Bogata High School. Then I attended Paris Junior College and graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in English. This is my 36th year to teach second grade at Rivercrest Elementary. I have also taught grades 3, 4, 5, and 6, but my “first love” is second grade. I love my job and enjoy coming to work each day.I am married to Don Stockton. He retired from Rivercrest ISD in 2002. However, he enjoys helping me with our 2nd grade UIL storytelling and writing events. We have one daughter, Donna, who is married to Matt Lammon. Donna is a graduate of Rivercrest, Texas A&M University at College Station, and LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She and her husband, Matt, and our two precious grandchildren, Jake age 6, and Emily age 4, live in Madisonville, La. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, read, and shop.
