Golf Tournament

by dhare on Sep.07, 2010, under Administration

The Rivercrest Education Foundation, Inc. is hosting a benefit Golf Tournament on Saturday, October  16th at the Clarksville Country Club. All proceeds from this event go toward scholarships for Rivercrest High School students. We are seeking businesses who can be sponsors for this tournament. We will have different levels of sponsorship: Gold sponsor-$300; Silver sponsor-$200; and Bronze sponsor-$100. Any donation is both welcomed and appreciated.

The Rivercrest Education Foundation is a non-profit organization comprised of 34 trustees from our communities. Our sole purpose is to help provide financial assistance to Rivercrest seniors seeking higher education in the form of scholarships each year. We give $500 scholarships to each senior who applies and meets the criteria for use at a college or vocational school.

Since our inception in 2002, we have awarded approximately $150,000 in scholarships to our graduating seniors. Another way we help both juniors and seniors is to help pay for Dual Credit college classes. These are offered through Paris Junior College and are available on our campus. This gives students the option of taking a college level course while still in high school.

The Foundation is host to a benefit dinner and silent auction each spring to help generate funds for these endeavors. The banquet and this fall golf tournament are our two annual fund-raising events for the year.  We also accept donations in memory or in honor of a loved one.

The golf tournament entry fee is $200 per 4 man team. If you are interested in entering a team in the tournament, please call Vic Bishop at (903)249-1398. If you are interested in being a sponsor for this event, please send your donation to the address below. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Debbie Hare, secretary
