I am beginning my 39th year at Rivercrest ISD. I taught 2nd grade my first year in 1971-72 and I have taught music ever since. I have the BEST job in the district. I have several students who are my third generation and they are “very special” to me. Billy Ray and I celebrated our 40th anniversary this summer with a cruise to the Bahama’s. I spent the summer taking my grandchildren to “The Wizard of Oz” musical, Hawaiian Falls Water Park, Six Flags, Sea World in San Antonio, Great Wolf Lodge and Lake Bob Sandlin. I had a great summer with Kaylee (15), Brayden(7), Tyler(5) and Taylor(20 months). My children gave me the greatest gift of all-grandchildren. Brandon and Marsha teach in the Prairiland schools, Brad is President of Roxton Bank and Georjeana is an occupational therapist at Legends Rehab in Paris. My mom celebrated her 79th birthday this year and she still sings and entertains at nursing homes. I am blessed with a great family, a wonderful job and life in Christ.
