Rivercrest Elementary will have the “Star Search” finals Friday, April 16, 2010. 3rd, 4th & 5th grades will perform at 9:00 a.m. in the Rivercrest Auditorium. K, 1st & 2nd grades will perform at 1:00 p.m. The talent is outstanding this year. Everyone is invited.
Rivercrest Elementary Horizons Students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th grades will present their “Famous Artist Museum” Friday, April 9, 2010 from 1:30-3:00p.m. Everyone is invited.
March is National Music Month and Rivercrest Elementary will be having our annual “Star Search”. Any student in the school may enter the contest. Competition will begin the week of March 8th. Rivercrest Elementary is blessed with many talented students. The competition is tough. BE PREPARED!!!

Rivercrest 3rd grade students will sing at the American National Bank in Mount Pleasant Friday, December 11th at 1:00p.m.
Rivercrest Elementary 5th grade students will present “Christmas at the O.K. Corral” Friday, December 18th at 9:00 a.m. for Pre-k, K, 1st & 2nd grade classes and at 10:30 a.m. for 3rd & 4th grade classes. All classes will sing Christmas Songs. Everyone is invited to enjoy the children as they perform.

Rivercrest Elementary will honor All Who Served at a Veterans Day Program November 11th at 9:00 a.m. in the Rivercrest Auditorium. Everyone is invited to hear the students sing Patriotic Songs and watch our Veterans Video.
3rd, 4th & 5th grade students are studying for the Music Memory UIL Contest. Test over the first 8 composers will be Wednesday, October 14th and test over the last 8 composers will be Friday, October 16th.
The fourth grade music classes will begin to play recorders Wednesday, September 23rd. Students should bring their recorders and music folders to music class every Wednesday and Thursday.
