To begin my blog I thought I’d share a little about myself…

I attended Bogata Elementary and Jr. High Schools and then graduated from Rivercrest High School in 1995.  I then graduated from Paris Jr. College and Texas A&M University-Commerce.

In 1999 I married Ryan Ballard and began my teaching career.  I taught 3rd grade at Chapel Hill Elementary for 2 years, and in 2001 I got my job teaching the greatest grade–4th– at the greatest school– Rivercrest Elementary.

Ryan and I live in Johntown with our two little girls.  Kaytie Jane is starting Kindergarten this year at Rivercrest, and Maggie will be 2 in September.  Ryan works for Turner Intl. Pipe in Paris, and we are members of Cuthand United Methodist Church where Ryan is the youth leader.
