Mrs. Lee's 7th & 8th Science

As some of you know, I graduated RHS in 1983. I attended Paris Junior College and East Texas State University (Texas A&M-Commerce now). I graduated with my Masters of Earth Science degree in 1996. I am starting my 13th year at Rivercrest, my 18th year teaching. I have been married 5 years to a wonderful man, James Lee. I have a 25 year old daughter, Brittany, who graduated RHS in 2002 and graduated the University of North Texas in Denton in 2007.

For those who know me, know I love to travel. This year I finally traveled to Hawai’i. I finally got to see the volcanoes that I have talked about in class, and sit on the summitt of Kilauea, and walk through the Thurston Lava Tube on the Big Island of Hawaii. I also got to sit on the Punalu’u Beach on the Black Sand. While there, James and I also visited the Arizona Memorial, the USS Missouri battleship, and toured Honolulu, O’ahu. We snorkeled in Hanauma Bay, drove to the North Shore beaches of O’ahu, visited Dole Pineapple Plantation, attended a lu’au, and stayed on Waikiki Beach. You could smell the plumeria in the air. It was beautiful and relaxing.
