We are finishing our unit/study on using the internet. We’ve researched maps, images, videos, and web info. We’ve learned some cool shortcut tricks to make our searching quicker. This week we are participating in an online web quest about Texas. The 1st student to finish and get the most answers correct will win a prize from me! Our 1st and 2nd graders are exploring a website called Toy Theater this week. It has tons of learning games on the wesite. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are learning about Google Earth and using Google maps.

Students are learning to search on the internet this six weeks. We have used Google to search and learn about the Seven Wonders of the World. Last week we used a new search engine called Bing to find videos about snakes and tornadoes. Next up, virtual tours of Texas on the internet.
