Letter Tt-Please bring 3 Tt pictures for our letter board. This is part of your child’s class participation. I have found that those students who participate in letter board by bringing their pictures also do better on their reading as a whole. So remember to help your child to

find/draw three things that start with the letter of the week.

LISTENING AND FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS!!!-Please make sure your child is listening to class instruction (group and individual) and following directions/rules.

TPRI (Texas Primary Reading Inventory) Mon. Sept. 29th- Test scores will be discussed at parent conferences on Oct. 18th.

We had our first fire drill today. We were in P.E. when the siren sounded so we had to exit the building and follow all procedures. Next time we will know what that LOUD, SCARY sound means. We did GREAT!

Cookie Dough orders are due MONDAY, Sept 27th. Thanks for your participation!

Reach Out booklets are due TOMORROW, Sept. 22nd. Prizes are being awarded to students who return them filled.



Make your own slideshow design

When your child writes his/her name, please make sure he/she is saying the letters.  Some kids know how to “spell” their name when writing it but they can’t “spell” it out loud.  Your child should recognize and be able to say the letters in his/her name, even when not in order.

Please continue working with your child on name writing and shape sheets.  It’s very important that he/she can make the shapes correctly.  If your child can make the shapes correctly, then handwriting will be MUCH neater because, after all, letters are made from shapes!  Thanks so much for the hard work you are doing at home.

Due to the weather, the powder puff game and bonfire have been canceled till Oct. 28th. I will let you know more when it gets closer to Oct 28th. You may also check the school’s home page for more info.
