Rivercrest Elementary School will have Meet the Teacher on Tuesday, August 18th from 5:30-7:00. Mr. Dickey will have a brief meeting in the cafeteria at 6 PM.

Merry Christmas!

There will be a P.E. Christmas dance program on Thursday, Dec. 16th at 9:00-10:30 in the Jr. High gym. Kindergarten students will participate in a very short dance section of the program.

Our kindergarten Christmas party will be at 11:45 on Thursday, Dec. 16th. If you are bringing food/party items, please have them here at 11:30.
We will begin at 11:45 and will be very excited so….don’t be late or you’ll miss it!
You may take your child from the party but must sign him/her out in the office before leaving.
Thank you for sending the items needed for our party and also for sending goody bags for each student.

Your child will perform during the Christmas program on Friday, Dec. 17th at 8:30 in the Jr. High auditorium.
While we understand that it might be quicker and easier for you to take your child from the program, we ask that you do not ask to take your child from the auditorium.
For the safety of your child and all other students, we are only allowing the students to leave from the elementary school AFTER they have been signed out in the office.
Your child will have to return to the elementary school to get backpacks and other items before leaving with parents.
We can not release your child to anyone other than a parent without a note.
Thank you for your full cooperation in this request.

As the holidays near, most kids are very anxious and excited. PLEASE remind your kindergartner to be on his/her best behavior and follow ALL of the rules, ALL of the time. Be the BEST kindergartner you can be!

Please begin/continue reviewing the info in the pinkish, purple folder with your child. We will be TPRI testing again after the holidays. The info in the folder is usually updated weekly so there is new review sheets for your child to practice the skills necessary to do well on the TPRI.

Awards assembly for 2nd six weeks will be Tuesday, November 9th beginning with k-1 at 1:00. Kindergarten will be receiving perfect attendance and citizenship awards.

Letter Pp-Please bring 3 Pp pictures for our letter board. This is part of your child’s class participation. I have found that those students who participate in letter board by bringing their pictures also do better on their reading as a whole. So remember to help your child to

find/draw three things that start with the letter of the week.
