THIS WEEK WE WORKED ON:
Saxon Phonics-Digraph ck (black, duck, lock)
Math- Calendar words and counting to 100, by 2’s, by 5’s, and by 10’s
Time-hour and half hour, ordering numbers, counting by 5’s
Money-penny, nickel, dime, quarter, review
Alike/Different
Math-temperature
Sight words
Rhyming-Please work with your child on this. Check to see if he/she can rhyme.
Listening to follow directions
Science- conservation
Reading – Please read nightly with your child (take home books, Saxon words, etc.).

NEXT WEEK WE WILL WORK ON:

Numbers-1-20, counting to 100 by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s
Math-Time (hour/half hour), ordering numbers, graphing
Addition/subtraction

Science-conservation
TPRI TEST-Each child needs to be able to rhyme in order to complete their test. This test will help us evaluate your child’s readiness for first grade.

    THIS WEEK WE WORKED ON:
    Saxon Phonics-The rule v- a vowel not followed by a consonant is long: code it with a macron. Ex. go
    Math- Calendar words and counting to 100, by 2’s, by 5’s, and by 10’s
    Time-hour and half hour, ordering numbers, counting by 5’s
    Money-penny, nickel, dime, quarter
    Alike/Different
    Math-Days of the week, yesterday, today, tomorrow, numbers on a calendar, calendar
    Sight words
