Sight word- the, Please practice reading Spin to Win and other books/words your child can now sound out. (Ex. quit, queen, quilt,  etc.) Please remember to have your child read his/her book 3 times and sign/initial the cover.

Blends-review

Math-calendar words and counting to 100 orally. Please work on counting to 100.  Each child needs to be able to count to 100 before going to first grade.), by 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s

Numbers- 1-20 recognizing, counting, writing.  I’ve noticed some of the children are weak on recognition/counting.

UIL COMPETITION-Friday, Dec. 10th-Good luck Rivercrest Elem.!!!

Christmas Parties will be on Thursday, Dec. 16th at 11:45.  Boys will need to bring a wrapped boys gift and girls will need to bring a wrapped girls gift in the price range of $5.00.  Please send gifts no later than Tuesday, Dec. 14th so teachers can get them labeled for name drawing.

Christmas music program K-2 will be at 8:30 in the Jr. High auditorium on Friday, Dec. 17th. Early release at 1:00.

Field Trip-Thursday, Oct 28th. We will leave here by 8:30 and arrive back by 2:00. Don’t be late!  Also, please no sugary drinks with lunches brought from home. These seem to attract the bees/yellow jackets that are there.

End of the 2nd 6weeks-Reports will be sent home on Friday, Nov. 5th.
