Black History Month

We will start a Black History Month unit in sixth and seventh grade reading this week. We will be looking into Famous Firsts and giving biographical reports of some important African-Americans in US History. We will also be reading some African-American Folk Tales and other literature. Hopefully, we will have fun and learn a lot!

The end of the first six weeks is upon us! So far things seem to be going well. The kids have been well behaved and aren’t doing too bad as far as getting work turned in. The new sixth graders sure are sweet. I still love my seventh graders, too. This time of each six weeks is always hectic for me. I’m QUEEN OF PROCRASTINATION! I get a little stressed trying to get grades in at the last minute. Kids, sorry if I haven’t been as upbeat the past few days as usual. Lots going on in the life of Mrs. Andrews. Nothing personal to any of you! Love you guys!
