Chinese New Year

For Chinese New Year we made Fried Rice. They had to show me thumbs up if they liked it and thumbs down if they didn’t. As you can tell from the slideshow it was a big hit. They loved it.

Grinch Day

Before Christmas break we had a day filled with Grinch activities. We listened to Mr. Dickey read “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” We performed a play based on the book, watched the original movie and ate Who Pudding. We had a great day and enjoyed getting to dress like the Who’s from Whoville.

This week we have been studying about nouns. Yesterday the students worked in groups to brainstorm different nouns in three categories: person, place or thing. When they were finished they got to share their posters with the class.
